This section explains the CAD parts considered for the simulation.

 

Vehicle surfaces

This vehicle simulation includes wind tunnel and vehicle surfaces along with a radiator, fuel tank and exhaust pipe, as shown in Figure 17.49. All the vehicle surfaces are imported into Simerics-MP+. There are multiple ways to create wind tunnel surfaces inside Simerics-MP+ using the Vehicle Template Mesher. Refer manual for more information.

The dimensions of the imported geometry can be accessed by the following steps:

1. Select all CAD Surfaces in the Geometric Entities Panel.
2. Select Grid and Geometry Information in the Mesh Panel.
3. See the dimensions for the Surface Info in the Geometric Entities Panel.
