This tutorial explains the steps to perform a coupled Multicomponent flow simulation using GT-SUITE and Simerics-MP+. The GT-SUITE model is shown in the Figure 10.92.
Flow which contains a mixture of n2-vap (90%) and diesel-vap (10%) enters the system at 0.05 kg/s. It goes through Pipe40-1, then enters the mixing block which contains a straight Pipe40-2, Block-1 and straight Pipe40-4. This mixing block is modeled using 3D multicomponent flow in Simerics-MP+ using the conditions upstream, obtained by coupling with the 1D simulation. The flow from the 3D CFD simulation is again coupled with the downstream Pipe40-3 to calculate the solution at the outlet. The outlet is specified with a pressure of 1bar.
