Contours

The most common contours for the multicomponent mixing simulation are the concentration of each component and the velocity contours across the domain. The steps to create contours are:

1. Click Load Results in the Simulation Panel.
2. Select the required result file in the ensuing Load Results dialog box, click Open.

Create a section

A section is created with the following steps.

1. Click Create a Cross-Section icon in the Geometric Entities Panel. A new section Section 01 is created under Derived Surfaces.
2. Select Section 01, the Type and Position are specified as Plane Z and 0 m in the Geometry Tab of the Properties Panel.
3. Select Keep Negative Side for Section Option list in the View Tab of the Properties Panel.

CH4 Concentration Contours

1. Select Section 01 under Derived Variables and Volumes in the Geometric Entities Panel.
2. Select Concentration for Component CH4 module under Variables list for the Variable drop-down list in the Results Panel. For variables and legends refer, Post-Processing.

O2 Concentration Contours

1. Select Section 01 under Derived Variables and Volumes in the Geometric Entities Panel.
2. Select Concentration for Component O2 module under Variables list for the Variable drop-down list in the Results Panel. For variables and legends, refer Post-Processing

H2O Concentration Contours

1. Select Section 01 under Derived Variables and Volumes in the Geometric Entities Panel.
2. Select Concentration for Component H2O module under Variables list for the Variable drop-down list in the Results Panel. For variables and legends, refer Post-Processing

Pressure Contours

1. Select Section 01 under Derived Variables in the Geometric Entities Panel.
2. Select Pressure under Variables list for the Variable drop-down list in the Results Panel. For variables and legends, refer Post-Processing.
