Problem Overview

This tutorial demonstrates the conjugate heat transfer simulation using thermal coupling approach between solid and fluid models. It consists of gear, shaft, casing. The oil enters at 8 LPM from the top of the casing and the gear is rotating at 1000 rpm. Heat source of 500 W is specified on the gear. Figure 10.11 shows the geometry description and conditions for the simulation.
