Building the Mesh

This section describes the step-by-step procedure for preparing the mesh for the cyclone separator model that contain Cyclone. The mesh is created using the General Mesher in Simerics-MP. The settings for the mesh generation are explained in the following steps:

Cyclone

Select General Mesher in the Mesh Panel.
Select Cyclone_bin_walls, Cyclone_bottom_wall, Cyclone_inlet, Cyclone_outlet and Cyclone_walls under CAD Surfaces in the Geometric Entities Panel.
Click Add Surfaces of the CAD Surfaces in the Properties Panel.
Enter Maximum Cell Size as 0.005, Minimum Cell Size as 0.0001 and Cell Size on Surfaces as 0.0025 .
Click Create Mesh. A new mesh Cyclone is created under Built Meshes in the Geometric Entities Panel.
The meshed volume Cyclone is generated under Volumes.
