Validation

The temperature prediction along the radial direction on both the upper and lower symmetry walls are compared with experimental data from Kuehn & Goldstein.

The comparison between experiments and Simerics-MP+ are shown below.

The following image shows the comparison of the temperature distribution observed in experiments for natural convection in a concentric annulus with the temperature contours obtained from Simerics-MP+.

Note: The comparison of temperature distribution shown in Figure 11.219 is performed for a similar concentric annulus case, but with a different diameter ratio .
