Problem Overview
This tutorial explains the steps to perform an external flow simulation around a propeller rotating in water at 600 rpm imparting a velocity of 2.12 m/s to a marine vessel. The calculations for the advance ratio (J), torque coefficient (KQ) and thrust coefficient (KT) are also performed in the simulation. Figure 8.86 shows the geometry and conditions for the propeller simulation.
