Simulation

This section explains the settings to run the mixing pipe of PID controller simulation.

Simulation Settings

1. Verify Steady State Simulation from the Time Definition drop-down list in the Model Tab of Properties Panel is selected.
2. Click Simulation Panel and enter Number of Iterations and Result Saving Frequency to 100 respectively (see, Figure 10.75).
3. After you save the project, click Start to run the simulation.
4. The result files are saved as .sres in the working folder (Example : "pid_controller.sres").

 

The residuals are displayed under the Residual Tab in the Plot Panel (see, Figure 10.76).

Note: The default Converge Criterion is 0.001 for Steady State Simulation. When the residuals for all the variables drop by three order or the maximum Number of Iterations is reached, the calculation stops.
