The Heat Module provides the capability for users to include heat transfer within the fluid flow and/or solid regions in the CFD models. For single fluid flow or multiple-fluid mixtures, the governing equation for heat transfer is based on the total energy conservation and has the general form of a transporting scalar. For solids, heat conduction equations are solved in either inertial or non-inertial (translating or rotating) reference frames. The heat transfer between the fluid flow and composite solids can be handled using both loose-and tight-coupling conjugate heat transfer model. In addition, the heat exchanges between the fluid system and its surrounding are modelled by thermal boundary conditions.
