Species

5.9 Species

Species is a module in Simerics-MP that provides the capability to solve an additional scalar transport equation. It can be selected multiple times to solve more than one user-scalar transport equation. This is a very useful feature for users to develop or add their own modules on the basis of the solver capabilities available in Simerics-MP.

In this module, the general scalar transport equation, user-input parameters/terms, boundary conditions and post-processing quantities are described.

To activate the Species module:

Click Select Modules in the Model Panel. The Physical Model Selection dialog box opens.
Select the Species module, specify the Module name and click Add.
Click Model Panel to see assigned physical modules for the simulation.

Note: To activate the Species module, a name must be specified for the species/user-scalar under Module name.
