Operating Parameters

The operating parameters pertaining to the fuel tank template (Rotation (1 DOF)_flip) involve the motion type, rotational axis vector, center of rotation, rotational direction and other advanced settings see, Figure 7.90.

The parameters under Rotation (1 DOF)_flip can be specified as follows:

  • Model Panel > [Rotation (1 DOF)_flip]
  • Properties Panel > Model Tab > (Desired Option)
Setup Options

When selected as Advanced Mode the parameters that can be defined are Stability Factor (0-0.9), Contact Friction Model, Bounce Model, ODE Integrator.

Simulation Method

The two methods of simulation available under Simulation Method are Steady (Fixed Position) and Transient (Moving Grid). For more information, refer to Simulation Method.

Motion Type

The motion for a selected Volume/Boundary is specified as Force Balance or Prescribed. For more information, refer to the topic Rotational.
