NPSHr Simulation

A detailed algorithm is developed to realize the ideas proposed in the paper H Ding et al.,2012. There are three major steps together with optional pre and post procedures to calculate for each given flow rate. Starting from a given flow rate and an inlet total pressure at normal operating condition, minimum three steps must be performed to predict for that flow rate. The process of exchanging the boundary conditions after each step (referred as iteration) are automated using python script.

The steps involved in execution of NPSHr script are:

  1. Step 1 – Creating the Steady and Transient Project Files
  2. Step 2 – Providing the input parameters in a text file
  3. Step 3 – Running the NPSHr script
  4. Step 4 – Calculation of NPSHr
