Setting up the model

This section describes step-by-step, the definition of the computational domain, mesh and the physics for the dual heat exchanger simulation.

In this tutorial, inlet, outlet and radiator Volumes for the primary fluid are created during meshing using Template Mesh/Surface. The secondary fluid radiator volume is duplicated from the primary fluid radiator volume.

Start new project

1. Launch the Simerics-MP+ application.
2. Click New to start a new project. The New Project 1 is created and displayed in the Display Panel.

´	Note:  The fluid volume of inlet and outlet can be imported from any CAD package in .STL format into Simerics-MP+, import the geometry using Import/Export Geometry or Grid.

The steps involved in setting up the model are:

• Building the Mesh : A grid of sufficient resolution is created to solve the flow and heat transfer.
• Defining Physics & Conditions : Defining the physics and the conditions for the problem.
