7.1 Vehicle Template
Vehicle simulation provides comprehensive insight on the underhood thermal cooling and aerodynamic aspects of an automobile. Underhood thermal cooling simulation involves study of the automobile under hood geometry consisting of the radiator, engine, exhaust manifold, coolant tank, air filter, brake booster, front grille geometry and battery.

The Vehicle template in Simerics-MP+ provides accurate virtual testing for the analysis of the vehicle underhood thermal management system. It is used to predict various performance parameters corresponding to the vehicle aerodynamics, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) etc. This template offers comprehensive physics modules to solve Flow, Turbulence, Heat transfer, Multiphase, Streamline and Particles etc. The meshing and model creation of the entire vehicle model is done in a span of 2-3 hours from the original CAD geometry. |

- Vehicle Modelling: Description of full vehicle model.
- Physics: Methods and constants used in the Vehicle module.
- Conditions: Specifying conditions for the entities-boundaries, interfaces, volumes under the Vehicle module.
